You can be careful about where your food is sourced - our local butcher sells meat from farms a few miles away. Venison season will soon be upon us, and I buy that direct from Bradgate Park, where they breed the deer.
Hopefully in the future meat is going to be grown on a huge petri dish.

but modern factory farming is very ruthless and we are removed from the source of our food (most of which is foreign muck)
