    Default The Infinite Past

The past being infinite does not seem to make sense and makes reality seem impossible. But there doesn't seem to be anything stopping the past being infinite.

But then how can you move forward with an infinite past to traverse?

The only solution I can think of is that everything is eternal and has always existed.

If the Big Bang occured about 13 billion years ago, then the past can't be infinite. If the Cyclical Big Bang followed by Big Crunch theory is correct, then there is a good argument for an ifinite past.

The proposed big bang does not need to be the beginning of time.

It seems there needs to be time for anything occur within.

    You Are Perfectly Correct!

I am of the opinion that it was our Galaxy that started 15 Billion Years Ago (according to Carl Sagan's Cosmos) and that the Universe is Infinitely Old and will have an Infinite Future.

I am of the opinion that you have the concept of our galaxy mixed up with the concept of our universe which is claimed to be between 13 billion and 15 billion years old. I am also of the opinion that you are talking a load of shite by saying that the Universe is Infinitely Old and will have an Infinite Future, because if it started with a Big Bang, then it could not have an infiinite past and due to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics the Universe will not have an infinite future.

How does that differ from a picture frame?

Time prevents everything from happening at once. So you can differentiate between events and cause and effect.
