It's down to what they call the "flatness problem"; specifically the value of a quantity termed Omega. It concerns whether the expanding universe is above or below the required density at its present speed to stop expanding. If it's too fast it'll just keep...

It's looking good for Labour here. Filthy students queuing to vote, no doubt orgasmic over the promise of free broadband access to porn and war games. Of course, "free" means at the expense of taxpaying workers, whether they use it or not. Typical leftie...

You do know that Bach's accreditation for that is usually not accepted now? Anyway... remember Mike Oldfield's version? I enjoyed that.

Also just noticed the number of registered voters in the constituency has increased by almost exactly the same number. There are no new jobs in Lincoln, so the new arrivals are either unemployed in which case they will probably vote for the Handout Labour...

Incidentally, Labour's winning margin here in 2017 was almost identical to the number of UKIP votes, so with Nick Smith and the BP candidate both endorsing Karl McCartney, it's going to be close. Damn close!

The Labour candidate, a Remainer, wants me to vote for her to bring about "real change". She's the sitting member and she refuses to accept the decision to Leave the EU, so what exactly is she talking about, I wonder? It is precisely because I want...

My debit card got damaged and I phoned to get a replacement. Time taken to answer the phone, about twenty seconds. Time taken to receive my new card, about twenty hours. Then I got a call to remind me of all the subscriptions and scheduled payments I...

No, his arithmetic is at least as unreliable as mine. However, even if I'm out by a factor of ten, a solar powered car is simply not feasible in any reasonably practical way, yet they're going to ask people for at least 100,000 for a car which will be...

Toyota are planning to sell an allegedly solar powered car in the next couple of years. I've done a bit of arithmetic and if the horizontal surfaces of an average sized car were completely covered with solar cells, it could generate about a kilowatt in...
