I am simultaneously both delighted and annoyed.
A hidden water leak that had obviously been ongoing for a considerable time has damaged the floorboards in my bathroom beyond repair, so the entire floor has to be rebuilt. While the work is going on the insurance company has installed a temporary bathroom in my back garden. It's a really superb piece of kit and they've done a very conscientious job of keeping the pipes and cables as out-of-harm's-way as possible, e.g. covered all trip hazards with those little yellow speed bump type things. The bathroom is like a giant portaloo with an airline type khazi, boiler, power shower in a cubicle big enough for two if you're so inclined, wash basin and a powerful forced air room heater. They've included thoughtful little touches like clothes hooks, towel rail, shaving mirror and an LDR controlled exterior light. It even has its own electricity meter because it's necessary to keep everything switched on all the time, which the insurance company will pay for.
My driveway was a bit too narrow for a pre-built one on a trailer so two men built it in situ in about six hours.
My annoyance stems from the fact that most of the equipment is so far in advance of my own I've realized that my proper bathroom is decades overdue for updating. I've been "considering" doing it for some time and now I really have no excuse to put it off any longer.
