Default A Short Poem about Trees

Trees on the mountainside trees on the hillside, trees on the plain,
Trees on the valley, trees on the den, trees on the dale, trees in the fields, trees by the river,
Trees in the forests, trees in the woods, trees of the grove,
    Every where we see trees,
Such majestical sights of beauty coloured green and brown, grown from right out of the ground,
Forests of pine their greenery ashine with winter's Sun,
Woods of ash, oak, and birch, carpeting the ground with orange and brown,
Autumn's delight turning to winter's frown with bare twigs on the branch,
Without nestling birds who have flown, only to return when leaves have regrown,

Beautiful images Bill. Have you read the anthology named "Trees be company", as the title suggests it is full of poems about trees. Some are really lovely.

What a lovely poem, I wonder what inspired you to write about trees ?

    ya bollox.
Through the glass, dim and foggy, the blunt muzzle of some beast looked at me, its yellow eyes insistently repeating one and the same thought, incomprehensible to me. We looked each other in the eye for a long time - through those shafts connecting the surface world to that other beneath the surface.

"I am in blood Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er"

You better look before you leap, still waters run deep,
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out,
And you know what I'm talkin' about.
