    Question BitTorrent ...

    OK, simple question really:

How does one use it and where do you find the Torrents to download?

Problem is, you can't get Limewire on Linux (to my knowledge) and there are various version of eMule that I don't know how to use.

Lime wire files are riddled with virus's,(or should that be virii) in every time I have used it , if you download anything at all it is safest to click the downloaded folder once and then go to file at the top and click there and run a virus check on the folder before you open it this can save you a lot of grief. jmb

Cheers, PB, although I do already have a Torrent Client -- Azureus.

That's exactly the sort of thing I was after. Nice one Bill.

Azureus is pretty good, though it's pretty big. For a lightweight torrent client, utorrent is pretty good: http://www.utorrent.com/

As for where to get them from, well here's a good starting point: http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/...ent_search.htm

Yeah Azureus comes standard with Ubuntu. I'm using it now.

I do have a question though. I've found a file that I want. So I click to download the torrent and then point Azureus to my torrent file. I've asked it to start downloading and it's done nothing for about 15 minutes.

    What am I doing wrong?
