Alistair Crowley was an agent for no-one but himself, Bill. In my opinion he was one of the most cruel and evil people ever to walk this planet.
From what I read of Crowley, he was certainly Egotistical, Vane and Greedy. From what he said of himself in his Book Of The Law, I stopped having anything to do with him because of his Vane Attitude.

But I would not call him Cruel & Evil.

I don't think Crowley was evil. He had a wicked sense of humour and loved to freak people out, or just wind people up. For instance, in his "complete" book on astrology (which only covered two planets, so another wind-up) he has this to say on Neptune in the 6th house:

"With regard to clothes, he will be equally a nuisance. In mild cases, this may amount merely to eccentricity, just sufficient to make the ordinary man a little doubtful of whether it is desirable to be seen in the street with him. But once more, if the mind is weak, he may have settled convictions that it is dangerous to wear wool or a hat or boots. He may thus constitute himself a public nuisance."

He managed to wind up the Daily Mail a treat (not that that was ever much of a challenge). They called him "The Wickedest Man in the World", mainly because he was bisexual and had sex parties in an Italian villa. He was also a very accomplished mountaineer.
    You Are Perfectly Correct!

So you don't consider torturing/sacrificing cats and other small animals to be cruel or evil then, Kino?

    Whatever happened to "Harm none"?

In all the Publications I had read that was by or about Crowley, I never seen anything about him Torturing or Sacrificing Cats.

He did do a lot of things that stroked his Ego, Vanity and Greed but I have never seen anything about him Harming Cats.

The Harm None part was added on by Gerald Gardener.

Crowley Practiced the Sacred Craft with Freedom of Will regardless of whether it caused Harm or Not.

That is why I tend to favor Gardnarian Wicca Paganism than Crowlian Wicca.
