This is actually quite a serious point. janet (with a lower-case j) who used to post on here, the Blue Place, and (prior to that) newsgroups, once pointed out that advertising that you're going on holiday isn't always a good idea, as it's letting any lurkers (whom you might not know) know that your house will be empty for a while. Less of an issue on BC, but back in the day when newsgroups would identify your IP address, and a whois would give the name of your host - which would be your home address if you had your own domain - it was more of an issue.
It also matters to people who post personal details on the net, and a surprisingly large number do.
I do not, in fact I'm almost ungoogleable, and what you can find is out of date by years and there are people with the same real name so information is confusing.
I'm a low educated, total guttersnipe, dim witted moron.

You would know all about that.

Chris Mitchell has previously used this site to extract information from the device of at least one member.

And there is hidden content. This post will probably end up in it.

This is building up to one of your really interesting Benidorm posts.

It was a sleepy fishing village, what the fuck else do you think it was? The industrial hub of Southern Spain?

Your posts advising tourists about where to find cheap prostitutes are there for all to see. It's you...no confusion about it.

Ah, the old ‘the absconded offender just happens to have the same name as me’ bullshit. Nobody falls for that.

How many failed DJs from Barnsley have ended up fleeing to a foreign dump (with no extradition treaty), converting to Islam and providing an advice service to would be sex tourists? It’d take somebody with the requisite skills about ten minutes to identify you, and a further ten minutes to locate you.
