I wasn't going to dignify you with a response, but I have to ask: Can you REALLY be that monumentally stupid? You live on a planet that has trillions of life forms that have been reproducing for billions of years and you want "evidence" of an inbuilt drive to procreate?

You sir, are either a windup merchant or an authentic, bona fide, honest-to-god idiot.
    YOU LOST. AGAIN.

I think you have a valid point parsonstreet. There is undoubted a drive to have sexual intercourse , in humans at least, which is totally separate from any drive to produce children. The desire to have children may be a societal construct rather than an innate physical compulsion.

In my experience as an adoption social worker we obviously assessed "motivation" I can't remember anyone saying that they had a genetic need to be a parent. Even those who had tried several rounds of IVF.

Do you think amoeba have an urge to propagate their genes?

    Trees?

It's what genes do you clown. It's not a choice, it's programming. You have deliberately misinterpreted it as a conscious desire just so you can gainsay it. You're so predictable: I see you beginning to construct your little strawmen, I even tell you I can see you doing it and you still carry on and do precisely what I say you will. You're a bicycle wheel stuck in a tram track that only runs between Bullshit Park and Pseud Central.
    YOU LOST. AGAIN.

Humans have the highest level of self control amongst all species.

But you are using a model of the least sophisticated likely unconscious species to explain human behaviour. Their are many different models and rates of reproduction but you have chosen the the most basic and crudest one to characterize humans.

There are lots of human behaviors that don't make sense from that kind of evolutionary perspective.
