You know Robert Peston, it used to really bug me the way he talked, his speech pattern and breathing. I only learned the other day that he's got a really bad stammer and has to use breathing control to control it. He's actually a lot better nowadays so his confidence might have grown. Diane Abbott's a bit like that with the way she talks. Unfortunately, even if she is a good MP, I think she is a bit of a liability. Even allowing for the media bias or negative agendas, she still scores own goals in the most simple and straightforward of situations. I'm loathe to kowtow to "image issues" over policy, but I'm afraid Labours case could do without her.
