    Unhappy R.I.P nicknotnicked

Today it is our sad and, frankly, distressing duty to report to you all that our long time poster and friend of the forums, nicknotnicked, has died.

We currently know very little of the circumstances, other than he apparently died in his sleep yesterday.

Nick joined the forums back in 2005 and we first met him 'in the flesh' in a hotel bar in Milton Keynes. There were many subsequent get togethers, initially including his late wife Lynlegs who herself died in 2009.

You will I am sure understand that we are still trying to take in this awful news ourselves. We do not have any further information beyond what is in this post, but if anything else becomes available we will endeavour to share it.

In the meantime, this thread is for anything anyone wants to say.

As is now customary the forum has been turned black for a few days. We will attempt at some point to come up with something lasting to remember Nick by.

In the meantime, as I always say, "The Show Must Go On". We are, however, completely heartbroken and at a loss for words.

Fuckin Ell!!!!....Me and Nick were at the complete opposite ends of the political spectrum but we still enjoyed a pint together. We met up in London one time when I was on a Unison rally, we both said fuck that and he took me on a tour. What a shock. I'm very sorry about this.

I am so shocked to hear this sad news. He was looking forward to starting his new job in a couple of weeks.

R.I.P. Nick - may angels fly you safely home.

    Condolences to his family.

When I logged on I felt drama by the appearance of the board.......Never to the extent that it transpired to be. I felt utter shock...for a bloke who pushed life to the limit.
    RIP Nick..... Mate.

RIP, Nick - it was such a shock to hear that Nick had died suddenly. He apparently died peacefully, in his sleep, yesterday.

Very sad news indeed. Nick was a very decent bloke, and good fun to be with. He was looking forward to starting his new job shortly, as Luna said. Condolences to his daughter and family.

Terrible, shocking news. We were congratulating him on his new job just a few days ago......and now he’s gone...

    RIP Nick.
