Did anyone realise, a decade later, that these were still happening?

One of the many things that led to the 'out' vote, since most of this money ultimately came from the UK, along with France and Germany. It's no coincidence that there are strong rumblings in both those countries about leaving the EU now. Frexit and Dexit!

Greece were thriving under the Drachma.....adopting the Euro skint them........Blair wanted the UK to adopt the Euro, brown said 'fuck that, Over my dead body'. Even at that stage Blair had his eye on the top Brussels job.....the bastard!
The European Union is Nazism under a new banner.
Perrin is right about Cameron, on everything else he is wrong.

Yes, and this time it really will be final because the Reich knows it's not going to get any more from its largest contributor.

Those of us who can think for ourselves have been saying all along that the EU needs us more than we need them. We will now discover precisely how true that is. And not before time.

Germany tried to conquer Europe. Europe won and then squandered that victory by propping Germany up instead of destroying it while it had the chance. Splitting it in half was never going to be more than a temporary solution - the borders of all its immediate neighbours should simply have been expanded until there was no Germany left. Germany can't function without telling other people what to do, so there's going to be another war when the EU disintegrates. France will, of course, maintain its tradition of kissing the teutonic arse, but perhaps in spite of them we'll get it right this time and wipe it off the map for good.
    YOU LOST. AGAIN.
