    Spring is on it's way!
According to about a zillion posts on here over the years, spring has actually arrived.

Now then kids, hands up anyone who still thinks March 1 is the first day of Spring.
    YOU LOST. AGAIN.

I know I do this every year but here goes anyway:

Midsummer's day is not the middle of summer. If midsummer's day were the middle of summer, then the middle of Spring would be March 20th. If March 20th were the middle of Spring, then the beginning of Spring would be February 3rd or 4th. The beginning of February is clearly nowhere near Spring.

    Two questions:
    1. What numpty first decided to refer to the Summer solstice as "Midsummer"?
    2. Why do billions of other numpties never question it even though it's obviously wrong?
    YOU LOST. AGAIN.

Technically, it is the first day of 'meteorological spring', whatever that is, rather than actual spring.

Meteorological implies weather related. The weather is not subject to rules imparted by an arbitrary calendar. The seasons are determined by the orientation of the Earth's rotational axis, which is not weather, and even if the seasons were determined by the weather, the weather doesn't obey a calendar either.

Why try to rationalise something that is obviously wrong?
