    Default Dental drama!

So, one of my filings fell out the other day.

I felt around with my tongue until I found the hole right at the back of my upper row of teeth.

No problem, I have a check up in a few months.

But when food caught it it hurt like hell for five minutes or so.

I made an "emergency" appointment with another dentist as mine was on holiday and no way could I wait.

This morning she redid the filing and told me my wisdom tooth was overerupted and essentially pushed the filing out.

I asked her if she thought I should have it taken out and she said yes.

Now I'm googling all about wisdom tooth extraction!

It's a biggish deal, you'll need stitches if I recall. but at least there's no messing with the anaesthetic, you won't feel a thing.
Through the glass, dim and foggy, the blunt muzzle of some beast looked at me, its yellow eyes insistently repeating one and the same thought, incomprehensible to me. We looked each other in the eye for a long time - through those shafts connecting the surface world to that other beneath the surface.

"I am in blood Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er"

You better look before you leap, still waters run deep,
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out,
And you know what I'm talkin' about.

You won't necessarily be knocked out or have stitches.

My Granddaughter had a big back tooth out last Monday, it took the dentist about 30 seconds to extract and there were no pain and very little blood to mean anything, we were amazed, modern dentistry is light years ahead of what it used be.

The moral of this story is to look after your teeth and invest in dental floss.
Amusing smilies aside, you ought to realise that beneath what may sometimes appear to be banter, I do in fact despise you. Don't be flattered, my contempt is free to all lefties who support the indoctrination of children. ~ Memnoch, Dec 2014.

I wish you'd told me that twenty years ago !
