    Default Weird looking tomatoes

In amongst my mixture of different tomato plants, I spotted this growing earlier.

It's so huge and weird it made me jump!

Anyone seen these before? What type of tomato is it?

If you have a problem with my post, this is what you should do: Let the post die. Just let this old post gather dust. No one can read it. No one'll even notice it. Let it become a strange little thing standing in the corner of an old thread. And over the years, the world'll move on and the thread will be buried. And if you want to remember it, then you can do one thing. That's all, one thing. Have a good life. Do that one thing for me. Have a fantastic life.

    beef tomato?
Through the glass, dim and foggy, the blunt muzzle of some beast looked at me, its yellow eyes insistently repeating one and the same thought, incomprehensible to me. We looked each other in the eye for a long time - through those shafts connecting the surface world to that other beneath the surface.

You better look before you leap, still waters run deep,
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out,
And you know what I'm talkin' about.

    beef tomato?
I wondered that, but those aren't normally 'contoured' in that way.

Aha...just retrieved the little label thing that came with the original plant and it's a "Super Marmande", which is indeed a type of beef tomato.

I have to say that's a nice surprise, and I am rather looking forward to that when it ripens. It'll be a nice change to all the little cherry tomatoes I have.
