I was doing real work but an alcoholic mate kept messing up his jobs and I ended up taking the game over. It wasn't long before I realised I could make more on a Friday and Saturday night than I could manage in a full week doing real work.
Party and pub work more than paid the bills, then I expanded to installation and stage management. I had a portable stage (back of an articulated lorry) and all the shit to run a good size show.
That was a lot of fun and more than paid the bills.
I read NZ made it clear he could stay the fuck away from there.
As for keeping his identity a secret, shouldn't happen cos he's a dangerous sod and everyone should know where he is. If that endangers him, tough shit
Mine was all party shit - Wedding and so on so I ended up playing cheese all ruddy night. I got them up dancing and all the stuff a party DJ is supposed to do, but it wears you out as far as music goes so I simple stopped bothering when I moved here. I still...
I simply fucked up when I tried to correct a typo.
More seriously, I spent a lot of years behind decks, starting with cases and cases of vinyl, finishing with a laptop and MP3s, so you can imagine I got a bit fed up with most music.
That's rather good and maybe an original quote. I don't know of it (I've heard similar, if not as well put) so you might well have come up with something I'd like to steal and claim to be my own at some point.
