He'd be great with that facial hair. Sadly, he doesn't sport it now, so I guess the jury's out until he can convince. Which might not be likely with the Moff in charge - his direction since Russel T moved on isn't really one that'll keep audiences interested for long

Oh, and I thought he was excellent in Torchwood. Very believable in what must have been a very difficult character (the ending to that character arc got me right there, it did - especially if you think about it in retrospect ).

I'll never forget that Torchwood scene....he goes into the room and all the viewer sees is the closed door.

Three gunshots in quick succession....then a disturbing pause...then a fourth.

    Very shocking at the time.

Can you two not think of anything more relevant to praise him for than a death scene in which he didn't actually participate?

no..........it just looks scruffy, long and unkempt........not trimmed. I wouldn't want to be sitting opposite him after he's eaten.....................or in the throes of a particularly
    nasty cold.
Mine is a two piece and the point comes to a curl like my hair.
Unless I have been Hiking and camping for a week then it gets a little frazzled

It was the culmination of a stunning performance throughout the whole story, otherwise it would have had no meaning.

Exactly. Because he made us invested with the character, that last scene not only seemed believable but the mental collapse was truly terrifying. I think it says a lot that I remember his performance in it more than, say, Martha's reappearance and Spike's James Marsters' little cameos in season 2. Capaldi brought that character to life, helped by some good, believable writing

Almost two series in and he's doing very nicely.
I just watched 9 ep 11, really enjoying his style.
