Series 8

Now that series 8 is over...what did you think?

I thought overall it was much better than the previous few series. Although that forest story was....not as good as I'd hoped it would be. And most of the child actors were awful as well, I know it seems ungracious to say so.

The second worst Doctor Who story ever, surpassed for totalcrapness only by the one in the same series about the moon being a chicken or something.

If the Moff wants to tell fairy tales to four year olds he should work for Disney.

The Moon one was fine until the last 15 minutes or so when it all went crazy.

Moff did say when he took over that there'd be a fairy tale element to his take on the show.

Anyhow, the series had some excellent stories...Listen, Mummy On The Orient Express, Flatline, Time Heist, Into The Dalek, Deep Breath....these were the best we've had for years....

It's a traditional response, I'm sure you know that.

Even more traditional would for me make a similar mistake while calling you out on iot. Or for me to make a typo.

So, back to DW.

Yeah, Time Heist was good. Into The Dalek was yet another example of Moffat ret-conning the canon to create holes into which he can insert his ego. The Daleks can't have had their emotional memories suppressed, because Davros made them without emotions. What Moff has done there is essentially unhappen the whole origin of the Daleks. The man's a menace.

But, weren't the Daleks originally built out of the Kaled race? They had emotions, so their must have been a suppression of sorts.
