    The Gone Away World
    By Nick Harkaway.
Some 530 odd pages to get through. There are more twists & turns than Hampton Court Maze.

To quote the fly "Part adventure, part comic odyssey and part geek nirvana. This is "The gone Away World"

The book starts off well enough, but then you are taken off at a tangent, after several pages yet another tangent. You then begin to wander what you are reading. Without giving too much away, I quote from the fly.

"The Jorgmund Pipe is the backbone of the world, & it's on fire Gonzo Lubitsch, professional hero & trouble shooter, is hired to put it out - but there is more to the fire, & the Pipe itself than meets the eye. The job will take Gonzo & his best friend, our narrator, back to their own beginnings & into the dark heart of the Jorgmund company itself".

There is more, but the rest I will leave to you, should you fancy the idea.
