That's better! A nice early ska revival single. Two Tone Records was the brainchild of Jerry Dammers from the Specials. The Beat were siigned for just one single, they formed their own label, Go Feet Records for the rest of their releases.

The Beat were one of the earilest ska revival bands and featured veteran Jamaican saxophonist, Saxa (Lionel Austustus Martin) who had played with some of the original ska stars of the 60s (including Desmond Dekker and Pronce Buster) first time round.

Due to name clashes, Americans know the Beat as "The English Beat" and Australians know them as "The British Beat".

OK, back to the one that should have been two days ago...

The Beastie Boys - Girls / She's Crafty

This is a cool Ltd Ed, a Beastie Boys medallion shaped picture disc. I don't think it would play very well if you wore it too often...

These are possibly the most sexist, and funny, tracks they did. The riff in She's Crafty is a sample from Led Zep's The Ocean.

There was no official video of Girls, probably because they knew it wouldn't get much airplay anyway, so here's a fan video. I'm not sure if the person that made this is a bit lot naive or if they meant the images to be as inappropriate for the song as they are...
