Woodhead Tunnel
Photographs of the western portal of the Woodhead Railway Tunnel (disused) taken 26th April 2009. There are the two "old" tunnels, and the newer tunnel which replaced them in 1954. Also included are photos of the the remains of the "new" Woodhead station, and the track bed. Nothing remains of the "old" Woodhead station, which was replaced at the same time as the tunnel.
