That saving would mean more money that can be used to better educate those capable of handling it.

If you think about it, thick prols end up cleaning bogs and so on now, just they waste an expensive education they can't cope with before they do it. I call on the government to cut the waste but cutting education for thick kids.

I'm unsure where the advantage in trying to teach pigs to sing is. It's a waste of money.

You really have to read my posts rather than just make rubbish up as you just did. 11 plus or cash would get you into a grammar school, thus only the dross would be consigned to vocational schools or early menial work.

Are you suggesting that we should not educate the majority of the population, but only those rich enough to pay? But then we'd end up as a third world country, like Indonesia. Oh...

School is for education, not socialist social experiments. The one and only reason a student should get a free place is ability. Of course, places should also be available to paying customers as this helps all students by giving the school more resources....

That happens all the time in the world of work so, as school is preparation for life, I see that as education.

The DNC played that same card to Mike Gravel before the second debate. He had made the 65,000 individual donors but they said that he didn't get high enough in their favoured polls. Problem there was that he hadn't been included in most of them so we ended up...

If you don't like your next door neighbours, you have the option of moving. A nation cannot do that. We have to live with the countries that are our neighbours. It is duly noted that you don't like the French, or even one of the constituent nations of the UK,...

The DNC have introduced telephone voting for the first three primary state votes, sounds like a good way to purge votes. Tulsi Gabbard has over 170,000 individual donors far surpassing the key requirement to make the third debate but the DNC have said...

Interest quote from a newspaper here: "Britain faces shortages of fuel, food and medicine, a three-month meltdown at its ports, a hard border with Ireland and rising costs in social care in the event of a no-deal Brexit, according to an unprecedented leak...

The function of schools should be to educate people, give them a decent standard of literacy and numeracy, equip them for life, and encourage the sense of adventure and curiosity that makes us human. My comprehensive school was good at doing that, both for...

I am wondering what the aim of private schools actually are. They seem to be a lot about networking and giving ones children an inordinate advantage. The children of the rich could compete with everyone else in grammar schools. Even when well to do...
