I am. In recent years I have learned to accept myself for what I am, and stop trying to be things I am not. I've also got my "we're going to make you redundant but not tell you when" job situation sorted out and I'm in a new job now.

I'm losing weight rapidly, feeling much fitter and healthier, fitting in smaller clothes, and hopefully going to commence education of some sort. I've got a nice car.

I've also got a small number of very good friends who I trust implicitly. Plus there's this hugely successful and well-run forem of course.

How about you?

Yes I am, annoyingly so, I probably get on people's nerves, but I don't care. I live over the road from my Dad, my Mom and brothers live in the house that backs on to mine, my brothers have lovely girlfriends, I have great friends, I've got six (soon to be seven!) wonderful children who make me smile every day, I love them so much and I'm so proud of them, they're really brilliant kids, and I have a man who has loved me since the first time he saw me when I was 14 and despite me getting fat, getting grey hair, gettin wrinkly still loves me just as much, I'm so lucky, even our Dog is the worlds best.

We have lots of material stuff too, a nice house, a car, but that doesn't make me happy, i'd live in a tent as long as we were all together.

Best of all, Adam tided up the garden last night and strted building the bonfire for the big party we're having on bonfire night, I'm so excited!
Happy the man, and happy he alone, He, who can call to-day his own: He who, secure within, can say, Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have liv'd today.

Yeah I'm happy and content....Pretty much the same as LL, (No surprise there heh!) though with fewer children I echo her sentiments WRT living in a tent as long as we're all together. Look to the things that make you smile, tell your children (and partner) you love them, often. I'm a happy little sod most of the time, and when I'm not I try to be anyway, no point in bringing others down and it never lasts long.

I have an amazing partner, who I adore and who adores me, makes me laugh, is a brilliant dad to our children, and my best friend. Our children are happy, polite, intelligent, funny....I could go on all day, but I wont!

I have a great relationship with my parents. And friends who are truly worth their weight in gold, they are the family I chose for myself in many many ways.

Material things are great to have but not important, we have what we need, and most of what we want. We're comfortable, happy, warm, well fed and healthy.

I consider myself very lucky.

I consider myself to be happy and reasonably content. I have modest needs - a smallish house, a smallish car and enough money to keep warm, fed and clothed. I'm not that keen on my job, but it pays all the bills and then some, and I can shut the door and forget about it.

Most importantly, I have the love of a good woman. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her, and, thirty years later, I still adore her. Luckily, she feels the same about me.

Oh, and we have a great dog.
I am more than just the sum of my pants.

So many happy people.........bastards

I'm in a solid relationship with my girlfriend, we have a gorgeous daughter (now aged 10) and I have an older girl (aged 16) with my ex-wife. We've just moved into a really nice house in the hills and I have a successful photography business, while my other half is a buyer and merchandising director for a high street retailer. Plus, we're healthy, our parents are fit, relatively young (early 60s) and we have a beautiful dog...........much nicer than LL's, SP's or anyone else's.

For me, the one thing which has cast a shadow over my life is the decision I took not to go into the family business; a motor dealer group which was started by my Grandfather in 1958. Instead, I sold my share of the business when my grandfather died and set up in commercial photography - something which my father and brother have never really come to terms with. Over the years, its often caused friction between my brother, my father and I, and I know for a fact that despite his assurances, my Dad has never really forgiven me.

As his eldest child, I think he had aspirations for me as far as the company was concerned and although I've been successful in my own right, he doesn't see it that way at all. As a result, I don't have the relationship with my Dad that I'd like, or indeed of the kind that my brother enjoys. For me, it's the one thing I wish I could change, but then life's a bitch, innit?

I would say no, but I am heading in the right direction. I feel happier about renting a flat on the Isle of Wight, than owning a flat where I was before, and I am happier working long hours in a small company, than 5-days a week, 8-5 in a big one (Plus I have a lot less travelling time.).

To be honest, the way things were going, at the end of last year I was considering the possibility of packing up and moving in with my brother in Cornwall, such was the state of my finances, but so long as I stick to my current plan, things will begin to pick up over the coming months.

At the moment, just taking things week by week, although there is some longer term plans.

I do crave that "special someone" to share my life with, that would make a big difference, but I have spent so much time on my own, I have got too used to it.
hmmmmmmm something
