Just spent an evening and a morning investigating Annie Arnott (born 1874) . She lived in my brothers house in Tynemouth in 1921. This sparked off a David Alosuga type investigation into who she was and, why, in 1921 was she providing board for 3 strangers. This meant a journey to a Society wedding in Brampton, a lost terrier in Rothbury with a Ten Bob reward, a Solicitor in Gateshead, "Trelawney hats" and "Merrythought wedding brooches" (which were a gift of the groom to Annie who was a bridesmaid) in 1895, a Stately Hall in Killingworth (where she lived as a child) (which is still there and 100 yards from my mates house, to her eventual death in 1950. ![]() 15th June 2024 08:05 by Luna
