I had heard of Alexander McQueen, but only knew about the other blokey because it was in the paper I read yesterday... I think he did one of those property/lifestyle shows or something. I never watch daytime tv. :r2

Neither do I....and I rarely read a newspaper either....I get my news from the Sky news channel, in the evenings, or the BBC website.....but not every day. It is usually depressing. :r5

I usually just watch the evening news, but yesterday I had a friend here who brought a newspaper, so I had a quick look. I agree that it does tend to be really depressing these days though, sometimes I could cry...

Sky News is pretty good actually, and always has been. Their news channel is, I find, more interesting than the BBC's which I find a little dull and uninteresting.

Sky can be a bit sensationalist. They have a very good political editor, Adam Boulton, though, and I suspect he will be involved in these "live TV debates" they are doing for the election (another US idea).
