Konnichi Wa to All:

Yesterday, while I was walking along 6th Avenue, at approximately where I found TreadMark the Squirrel, I spotted in Moody Park a Black Crow running around with a Wing that looked droopy and injured.

After chasing it around for a while, I got it, and brought it back to my place. I put it in my old Iguana Aquarium, gave it a bowl of Water, and a Bowl of processed Popcorn and Breadcrumbs mixed with half a can of beef catfood.

This morning, it is still very much Alive, and it is running back and forth in its cage quite aggressively. I think its wing may be healable as it is able to fold its wing back up against its body with some sort of semblance of normallsie

I think I will keep it in the Aquarium for a week so that its Wing has a chance to do some healling, then take it out of the Aquarium and see if it can flap the wing fairly normally.

If it can Flap the wing normally, then I will let it go.

Since I found the Black Crow in Moody Park, I will call the Crow: "Moody".

aww Kino, you are so sweet.

I would see just how nasty his wing is before you think of doing anything, maybe even try and patch it up for a few days till it heals.. then let it go :)

I rang the Wildlife Rescue Association and left a message. They rang me back, informing me that they will be sending over a car to pick up the Moody the Black Crow sometime today and take it to their Hospital so that a proper bandage could be put on the Moody so that the Wing will heal in its proper position, and then it will be able to be set Free.

Fortunately, Moody the Black Crow is no where near as badly hurt and as poor TreadMark the Squirrel was, so I am fairly confident that Moody will be saved. When I had Moody in the hands yesterday, I moved around its Wing and Moody did not seem to react painfully.

Yesterday, the Wildlife Rescue Society came by and picked up Moody the Black Crow. I had Moody in an old Aquarium in which I used to keep my Iguanas.

The Volunteer who came by to pick up Moody said they had uses for such Aquariums, so I donated the Aquarium to them.

I will ring in about a week to see how Moody is doing.

It really burns me to have to announce that the Wildlife Association has called me and informed me that there was a Major Wingbone broken too badly such that Moody would never Fly again.

So they had to put Moody to Sleep.

This is the Second Animal Rescue story I have started, and the Second Animal Rescue Story in a row in which the Injured Animal did not make it.

That is rotten news, KiNo. :(

I know it could not have survived in the wild if it could never fly again, but it is still very sad. :(
