Annoying Windows Messenger pop-up ads

Does anyone know how to stop these annoying messages from appearing every 2 minutes?

I get them all the time, from 'Windows Messenger Service'. I have read somewhere how to stop them, but have forgotten where...lol

Lee usually knows about things like this, so hope he sees the posts.........................

1) Click Start -> Control Panel
2) Open the Administrative Tools

8) Disable it

Click ok, and close all the computer management windows that are open. You will now be free of any messages you previously had popping up.
